So I dabbled into the 6.8 SPC arena a little bit and decided to stick w/ 5.56 for my ARs since that's what I know most of, and I have no use for 6.8 other than to "have it". I don't hunt, so there's really no benefit to me having this since 5.56 will do anything I need it to. I've fired less than 50rds from this setup. All ammo was SSA light loads. So here's what's in this package:
AR15 Performance 16" scout-profile barrel.
- 5R rifling
- 1:11.25" twist
- 6.8 ARP chamber. This means you can run any of the 6.8 SPC/SPC II ammo you got through it w/o any sacrifices. Like .223 Wylde.
- M4 feed ramps
- Mid-length gas
- Melonite treated, which is said to last 30% longer than chrome, and are more accurate
AR15 Performance 6.8 ARP bolt which is properly headspaced for that barrel
PWS FSC30 muzzle brake pinned/welded
Adjustable gas block - I know for sure it fits under Samson/Rainier Evolution rails.
Standard AR15 barrel nut
Mid-length gas tube
