I have a Ishapore Enfield 2a in 7.62 NATO I want to sell. Dated 1965 on the side of the receiver. Comes with a 12 round magazine.
The wood has been degreased and refinished with clear satin polyurethane. It looks very nice. The buttstock is the light colored wood, while the handgaurds and stock is a beatiful reddish brown indian wood. The only bad thing is that it has a crack in the wood stock right above the trigger where a arsenal repair is. I have put 15 rounds through it and the wood holds firm, so I'd say the crack does no harm.
The metal has the usual black paint over parkerizing.
The muzzle is perfect - no wear, dings, or dents.
The bore is perfect - bright and shiny mirror bore with clear and sharp rifling. No pitting at all. No throat erosion that my eyes can see.
This is my one and only enfield and my one and only 7.62 Nato rifle. I don't like the recoil or the cost of ammo, so I'm parting with it. Otherwise I would keep it.
FTF in Indiana for $160. I'll also include 120 rounds of South African surplus for a total of $200.
I'll ship to an FFL or C&R holder.
Please email me for pics. I don't know how to post them on here.
EDIT 8/14/07 - I'm posting this as sold to Slow_hand. If the deal falls through then I'll list it back up for sale.
