I am a factory authorized LMT dealer.
I recently got in a bunch of 16" and a couple 14.5" uppers.
A customer wanted me to re-profile a 16" to lightweight for him.
I grabbed an upper, tore it down, re-profiled it, measured it...
DOH, I grabbed a 14.5", not a 16"
I went ahead and permenant attached a phantom flash hider to the barrel.
It's back from being parkerized now and here is a picture:
Here's the deal...
List price on an LMT barrel is $310.
I usually discount that about $30, which is also about the price of the phantom that's on this barrel now :)
Take the barrel off my hands for $310 shipped to the 48 states.
Sales tax in California.
That's a $100 savings compared to buying an M4 barrel and then having me re-profile, permanent attach a phantom and re-parkerize the whole thing to get a lightweight 14.5" configuration which you can not buy off-the-shelf from ANY supplier.
The barrel is brand new and is a typical LMT, chrome bore and chamber, 1:7 twist, M4 feed ramps, proper "F" height FSB.
The barrel is 0.640" behind the FSB and 0.580" out front.
I can also sell you this barrel as a complete upper using an LMT M4 receiver, LMT B/C group, LMT charging handle and DPMS carbine sized (not M4) handguards with single aluminum heat shields for $600 shipped.
