I agree with medicmandan.

I'm an M-14 lover through and through, have had four. But I can't stand the Sage stock system.

That having been said, if you enjoy your carbine, all the better.

What you have is an M4ized M1A. M4ism is nuts. I was buying a lower yesterday, and a guy came up to the table I was behind doing the paper work and all the guy wanted to know was if it was an M4. Actually there were no M4(geries). There were three RRA's; a mid length, an Entry-Tac and a heavy barreled carbine (whatever RRA calls them). Sorry to go OT. Nice weapon, but it is M4ized.

That poor poor M1Ahurts ................. if you want to put crap on a rifle get a M4 or FAL. Don't rune a beautiful gun like the M1A. But I guess if it makes you happy.

I understand where you are coming from. It's like putting a ground effects kit on a 1969 Dodge Charger. Trust me, I love my original wood 22", but what other .308 semi can you build that is as reliable, modular, etc. and not a damn FAL?

I sort of see why you did what you did but really. But the M1A is a Classic man!!! AR-10, Hk-91?, what's wrong with the FAL? You can get it with a short bbl, folding stock. If you put ground effects kit on a 2006 Mustang I would say "cool man" harger?!?h But like is said if it makes you happy.

Nice setup, but you can possibly buy 3 semi M4 builds for the price of an M1A with those mods.

I'll take my M14 with wood and steele please...

LRB with H&R parts, TRW bolt, Krieger Criterion barrel.

and no tactical tupperware like a glock, I also prefer my pistols in wood in steel.

full house custom Colt Series 70 (work in progress by Hobbs5624) can't wait to get it back!
