I have an ASA (Colt style system).  Works great w/ the South African mags, the CDNN mags and a few others.  Only down side is mag price... $$$$... about $40+ is starting price.

Sten mags are cheap and plentyfull.  Ah, you Oly guys have it easy....

Never had a jam with my Oly.

Don't know enuf about the Colt system to comment on that.

Tho I can see the Colt guys stormin' in here to assure us that no one has ever, EVER made an AR better than Colt has.

Oly sells aftermarket re-worked Sten mags with a 1" piece of channel box welded on teh back that fits pretty nice into the mag well, eliminating the need for the mag block.

They have  a hole for the mag release catch, and  your mags drop free and the mag release works just like your standard AR mags.

Which is good, cuz you wanna practice your mag releases and reloads the EXACT same way as with your .223 AR

Or if yer handy with metal, you could fabricate some yourself REAL easy.

In fact, I may try that myself.

You are right... it is easy.  I'm looking at mine right now....

(To clarify-it's a mag block that allows Sten mag use in a Colt 9mm setup.  All you do is notch the Sten for the regular catch to hold on to. Just finished mods and testing last night.)
