Does anyone know of a legit company that makes true brass knuckles with solid brass? I have been looking online but most places coat a different metal with brass or have them made out of aluminum.

I wear 4x size gloves. Whenever I decide I really need some I'll have to make my own from brass plate.

That is an interesting question. Are you looking for old originals or modern design current production?

I know there are some states with laws about switch-blades, but are brass knuckles illegal?

"Knuckles" are a "prohibited weapon" in Texas:  possession (even at home) is a class A misdemeanor.

(Switchblades were removed from the prohibited weapons category on 9/1/2013.)

I bought some from this guy. Makes some of the old military patterns. Decent quality for the price. I spent some time and cleaned the rougher spots up.

I never was a big fan but I have thought of making some out of 1/2" thick G10 just for fun. Lightweight, nonmetalic, and still very tough.

They are prohibited in a lot of places.

I have seen those listed above. I did come across one place that made a limited run of 1/2" thick ones made from naval brass. However they wanted $250 for them and they were all sold out. It may have been $250 for a pair, but after seeing SOLD OUT i stopped looking.
