i would say 70% of the blueing is wore off. what are my options as far as a cheap, easy to do at home, refinishing project for this gun? is a 1976 winchester 94 in 30-30 if it matters.

You can always get a GunKote finish applied to it.

Do nothing! Oil that sumbitch and that is it. Refinish = No collector value in the future. If you do not give a crap about that, then send it somewhere for a proper finish job since it really doesn't cost THAT much. Home blueing will kill the character for sure. I've got a 1950's vintage Winchester .32-.30 with hardly any finish left on it and it looks so good. Just oil it up and love it.

Because of what it is......I must agree^^^^^ Just keep it well oiled. If you want something to refinish, go get you an old Glenfield 30-30.
