i have an ar15 (233), three shot guns(12,16,20 gauge), a SW 38 snub nose hammer- less, glock 26 (9mm) and im sad to say thats it for now but i am adding to the collection. what should it be ar15 pistol in 223, ak47, or ? i like having guns with the same bullets makes things easy for ammo
the next gun i want to be fun to shoot, i have lots of property to shot at so thats not an issue im open to any suggestions |

You need a full size 9mm.
Like a Sig P226 or a Beretta 92FS or a Hi-Power |

a cool grand |

+1 |

what does everyone think about a ar15 pistol? and are they fun to shoot
I know you prefer .223, but if you want a more well rounded collection you should get a PTR-91. CDNN has them for 899 right now and they are NICE. Also, as others have said, a good full size 9mm would be nice. I suggest a Glock 17 or a CZ SP01, preferably an SP01.

Well, judging from from your screen name, you need at least one excellent Tantal!

AR pistols are toys...that's about it. Get a AK-47 or AK-74. 5.45 for the AK-74's is cheap right now. $125/per 1000rnds. How much are you willing to spend...that's the real question.

You are missing a good long range rifle / big bore rifle. I'd go for something in .308. FAL, M14, Garand, AR-10, etc...
You could also go for a little .22 for cheap plinking. Check out the GSG-5. |
Time to step-up to a .308.
FAL build would be my route if I were you. You've got the .223 so in my opinion the AK with the 7.62x39mm just isn't enough diversity in caliber. Or I would purchase .40 S&W or .45 ACP pistol. Don't bother with an AR pistol as it's not very practical. |
I try not to think of them and no, they are not (IMO) fun to shoot. Pistols chambered for rifle ammo is a waste of both the ammunitions potential and the money wasted on the gun. No real world value at all. AKs are fun to shoot; and super inexpensive. I say get a Saiga in .223 and a bunch of Galil 35 round synthetic mags. Serious fun, plus you'll have a gun you can count on if you ever needed it. |
You've got the modern stuff covered...think black powder cartridge rifle! A Sharps or Winchester Highwall, 45-70 or bigger. Make lots of smoke and noise!

i think i am going to have to get a ruger 10/22 and something else ? i am not sure yet what else
Answer = Battle Rifle IMO that means FAL. |
10 22 for sure i thought about it and everyone in my family has one so that why i should have one
i think i have made up my mind about the ruger as soon as i find a 10/22 ruger that i like its mine and so far i am looking into a glock 30 (compact 45 cal) i love my glock never had any issues with the one i already have
What kind of collection can u have without an ak? Seriously, how can you look past it?
You need a full size 9mm (I like Sigs, but since you already have a Glock . . .)
SBR AR 15 .22 lr rifle (10/22) and pistol |
+1 Ruger 10/22 is a must and a .22 Target pistol Ruger Mark 1 or 2 or 3 or a Colt Woodsman or whatever. Cheap plinking and loads of fun.
i went with the ruger mark 3 pistol .22 and the glock 30 love them both my next gun i am still not sure about

Handguns:
CZ 75 CZ P01 CZ97B XD.45 XD 9mm Service Glock 20 (10mm) Glock 19 Long Guns: AK 47 Vector, Arsenal or a Yugo Saiga .223 and convert it. Saiga .308 and convert it. Ruget Frontier in .308 Savage Scout Rifle in .308 SA M1A Scout |
+2 Or get a precision rig. Anything to combat high ammo prices. |

Go with the AK if you are going to get a 22. as well. You can pick up a romanian wasr (AK47) for around 300 at a gun show. If not then definitly full size 9mm.
Yes I would agree with your decision to go with the 10/22. Then after that a big bore AR.
AK47 all the way!!
You can pick up a nice one under $600 and they are fun to shoot. |
And a suppressor! |
