It started to turn into a sales thread and per the rules Vic had no choice but to lock it. Vic did not lock it just because...

If the members would follow the rules we wouldn't have to take action and lock threads. The owners of the site (reflected in the rules––read the Conduct Code) do not allow selling outside of the Equipment Exchange. If it's one or two posts we can edit them and allow the thread to continue, but the thread in question was one big sell-a-thon. Had staff been involved, instead of the forum moderator, we would have locked accounts, as it was very blatant.  |
