A preban 16" Sendra carbine with collapsable stock.
Unfired.

Here's the hook: It was owned by John Ross, author of "Unintended Consequences" and comes with a personalized letter of authenticity and an autographed copy of the book.

What do you think is good price for the rifle from Joe Schmoe?

By the way, I have already purchased it. Awaiting delivery now.

I do like John.
We have exchanged several e-mails and he was a skydiver just like Henry Bowman and the skydiving stories are basically true.
We even have some mutual friends in the sport it so happens.
Man, I keep running into ex skydivers around here when I buy stuff. Weird but cool.

I'd say the "cult" success of the book will make it a collector's item for years to come. If you don't plan to fire it, it may be a good conversation piece. If you fire it, it may drop in value quite a bit......

Not sure I could buy something for $1000 or more and not fire it......

Maybe not lots, but I will shoot it at least to sight it in.

I agree with this assessment. The collector's value may be limited, as many will not place a lot on the author's affiliation.
