Anyone have any experience with any? The ghost ring isn't that big a deal for me, just need something I can see at night. Wilson combat makes some but they epoxy the front on and I don't trust that.

I have Trijicon ghost rings on my 870.  The Trijicons are the same product as the Wilson Combat version.  I too was a bit leary about gluing the front sight in place but I did some research and found that these sights are on thousands of shotguns without problems.

Still, I did a couple things to make me feel more comfortable with the front sight.  These things were recommended by Hans Vang and by the folks at Wilson Combat.  First, instead of using the epoxy that comes with the sights, I used J-B Weld.  Second, I had a friend pin the new sight through the base of the original bead.  I can assure you that the sight is not coming off.

Regarding the sights themselves... they are wonderful.  I used to think that shotguns just needed bead sights because they weren't made to be accurate.  That is simply not true.  Ghost ring sights allow for faster target acquisition and accurate shooting (with slugs) at distances out to about 100 yards.  Bead sights just don't allow for that.

Good luck.

I also have Wilson Combat version. On my 1100.  Work great!  To many round to count have not came off. I used the glue that came with it... my gun smith said it would hold and it has!!!
Even use it for clay birds.....  the rest of the trap shooter do not know how I can break birds with those sights  I tell them it is luck!!!
Even it it come off you can still sight down the barrel.  Keep more glue or J-B Weld around as well!!

The Trijicon/ Scattergun Tech's came stock on my 870P MAX.  They are awesome!  Super fast sight picture, very durable.  I'm thinking about seeing if I can get the protective shroud (like on the wilson) put on my front site.

I have had the Sage sights on my 870 for almost 15 years. Solid as a rock and the Tritium is still glowing just fine. They are available from Brownells here.

I have the Scattergun Tech sights on my 870P and they work great.  I'm not sure how many rounds I've put through it, but I've not noticed any indication that they're coming unglued.

I had Wilson install their sights when I had them mod my 870.

The glue has failed (and it failed quite quickly, my guess is poor surface prep or something),
however they also pinned the front sight to the bead, so the sights are still in place and functional.

Will be sending it back to Wilson for reattachment. Wilson said no problem, living up to Wilson customer service.

If the glue fails again will send to VangComp and they will silver solder the thing in place.

Question:  If the front sight is pinned in place, how do you know the glue has failed.  I have a shotgun at Wilson as we type this getting the sights installed.  I just want to know what to look out for.  Thanks!

I installed the Scattergun Tech/Wilson trak-lok sights on my 870.  Having made absolutely certain that I prepped the front sight properly, there is just no way that it is ever going to come off.  Doubt that I could even get it off with a hammer.

I busted a tap off in the receiver while mounting the rear sight.  Could not get the thing out, so I was forced to drill another hole in both the receiver and the sight assembly.  It looks kinda unique...

Other than that, they work just fine.  They have proven to my satisfaction to be as "fast" as a bead sight.  Not to mention considerably more accurate with slugs.
