Looks like it DOES NOT disassemble on the last shipment that arrived.

It unscrews from the FSB, but appears to be 1 piece. Not threaded on end caps. I wonder if ATF made them change it.

Wierd.. why would they make them do that.. or maybe GSG thought it would be cheaper to mass produce them that way..

probably because you can chop the barrel with a hacksaw and fill the fake suppressor with washers and you are good to go with a redneck silenced gsg-5

I bought my gsg5 last week and it was a three piece. I found out by accident, when I was unscrewing the suppressor and it happen to break the paint.

That sucks.. though there's no real reason why I need to remove mine.

Is there a way to take out the barrel with the suppressor attached as one piece?

The fake can also has female threads where the others I have seen have had male threads.

Can you post a pic of this new can? Mine has male threads, and it looked like one piece. Then I was playing with it and one side broke free so I put a strap wrench on the other side and it broke free.
I suppose you can detail strip the gun with the can on, but its much easier with it off.

You don't really need to take it down that far to clean it properly if you don't want to.  Leave the can on and you are GTG.

three piece here. had to work to find that out. FYI, the male part that threads into the front site base is M16x1.0.

Mine screws both ways.  I didnt know if it was the old or new version
Does this make it easier to put a better looking fake supresor on it?
