They are AWESOME. I have one on my 1911. Great can. Good balance with the 1911. Also I have ran it on a friends XD and it was just as nice. AAC makes the best silencers in my opinion. I got mine from Allen Arms in Greenville, SC. They are out of them right now, but have about twenty or thirty more due in any day now. They have unbeliveable prices as well. Give them a call. 864-250-2007 or www.allenarms.net

They use to be over priced ($1,200) until the Osprey showed up.  The tirant is a very long can and as far as I have gathered offers no advantage over the Osprey.  Nevertheless its a distant #2 in 45 cans so you wont be disappointed, except for AACs customer service, maybe.

Yes, Ti-rant is very good can, However with the Osprey you can buy threaded pistons to shoot .40 and 9mm.  Both cans are quiet!

just chiming in to say that my Osprey 45 is sick.  It's super quiet and very light.  I was really surprised how light it is.  It can't be any heavier than my Multimount and it feels like it might even be lighter.  Mine is on a P220 combat and runs like a champ.  I should have my Rossi 92 (.44mag/spec) back soon and that will be a fun combo with subsonic .44spec.

Here's the Osprey on the P220 in case you haven't seen one yet:
