I went to a Patriot Guard Rider picnic held by a US Representative and asked him about the proposed 50 cal registration/ban that has been put forth and he didn't know anything about it. He is a Republican and is some what nationally known. I haven't been able to find the proposal bill number or the wording of it. If someone could post a link to it I'd appreciate it. I'd like to email him the info so he can get up to speed on it.

I asked him who he likes out of the potential republican candidated and he said his biased opinion is Fred Thompson and he actually knows everyone who is running. He didn't think to highly of Ron Paul. I didn't get to speak with him very long so I wasn't able to get detailed opinions of the candidates from him.
