anyone know of a good  drop leg tactical holster for a kimber elite carry? basically its a colt comander frame. i  would like one with two leg straps, so it doesn't slide around on my thigh.  looking for a high quality brand .

thanks, Tbob

I like my Eagle built for the full-sized Kimber. Two legs straps, stays on, comfortable to wear and the price was right!

The special operations community seems to really like the Safariland 6004, but there have been reports of some retention bonnets breaking from hard abuse.  Still, it seems to be one of the best drop down tactical holsters.  I believe they make it in the Commander size, but Commanders have a 4.25 inch barrels and Kimber Compacts have 4 inch barrels, so I don't know if that will work or not.

I have the 6004, and love it.  It is really good kit.  I would think you will be ok with a 6004 for a Commander.

I have also had an Eagle drop-leg.  Excellentas well!!

I had the 6004 and thought it was great, but my leg would get real hot under the shroud. lol  I thought that was real uncomfortable for me..  I live in texas so it gets real hot here..

I prefer the Safariland 3005 over the 6004. The 3005 is a narrower holster so it doesn't stick out and catch on things as much as the 6004. I've had both.
I like the thumbreak on the 3005 better than the setup on the 6004, easier to use. The tension screws on the 3005 keep the pistol secure enough to run with even without the strap snapped in place.
Just my $.02.

I really like the Blackhawk Omega IV Airborne

Adjustable thumb snap AND thumb velcro, as well as a grip retention strap for extra security.

Fits my 1911 like a glove, fit danonly's kimber like a glove too.

well worth the $60 IMHO
