What kind of activities do you expect to be doing with the holster. Will you be doing long range movements, wearing it for extended periods, mostly just range work, CQB, how? There are 15 different varieties because they all do somethings bettter than the others. If you can provide some sort of insight into how you will wear the holster, we all here might be able to give very specific recommdations based on our  experiences.

For alot of range work, I love the 6004 from Safariland -- however, for walking, it sucks. If you are going to wear it for alot of time doing alot of long movements (SHTF), it might not be the best choice. The SOE holsters are made VERY well and they have a feature that I really like: The holster drop hanger has a 2" clip that lets you easily remove it from the belt whenever needed.

Another contender could be the Ground Pounder Holster from SO Tech. It has a nice padded shroud with two leg straps (they call it the Claw) that holds the holster securely to your leg when moving. Its thumb retention system is not as nice as the 6004; but it works, it is well made, and it is comfortable.
