FMCO makes this 8-point set, as well as a 4-point unit.  I have bought a couple of items from them (disclaimer: no financial interest), and their stuff is GTG as to materials and construction.

I bought a low-profile set (on sale) for $15 from Spec-Ops (mentioned in my "mining" thread),but that item is no longer offered at all.  Nice kit.

What you need to think about is whether or not you will be wearing any shoulder straps or armor in addition to the suspenders for your war belt.  Obviously, heavily-padded FMCO-style shoulder straps will be problematic under armor.  If your war belt is worn over your armor, that more-or-less defeats the idea of the war belt always being on your body, come hell or high water.

Perhaps some more details about your full rig might be in order, so we can better advise you.

I just put the 8-point (and the 4-point)  suspenders out there for comparison and reference.  FMCO gear, from the items I have bought, is well-made, both as to stitching, materials, and components.
IMHO, there is something to be said about their no velcro/no mesh policy.  I rather agree with them, at least on the velcro part.  YMMV.

As to their gear designs being outdated, well, if it does the job with a minimum of weight and user hassle, it's not outdated.  There are a good many users still using the even older ALICE gear to good effect.  Newer is not always better.  A well-trained Rifleman, using ALICE gear will probably do far better than some other guy with little/no skill/experience but with state-of-the-art gear.  If the two were to switch gear, the experienced Rifleman would still do far better than the inexperienced guy.  The difference in overall individual performance due to gear alone is not great as far as most field gear goes.  When we talk about backpacks for moderate to heavy loads, the modern designs have it all over the older types, but even the Medium and Large ALICE packs can be updated with MOLLE shoulder Straps and Waistbelts, and the result is a very good pack for not much money at all.

Good kit is not cheap, and from my limited experience, FMCO is good quality kit.  Whether their designs suit you is a matter of individual taste, of course.  They do offer some kit that is unique, such as, but not limited to, pouches for Garand/'03 Springfield/SKS stripper clips that will attach via MOLLE/ALICE clips.

Personally, I will buy some gear from them again.  YMMV.  I'll buy gear from other mfrs also, as it suits my needs.
