Check the site or call them for hardware.  Ordered from them several times with good results.

Robert also has wide handguards if you don't care for the slimline.

I keep waiting for the wide ones to go down in price.  No luck after 2 years.

he wants $50 for just a f'in "FACTORY GERMAN" black G3 buttstock.   $120+ for a US made buttstock.

the guy is clearly on crack.  The stuff isnt gold plated, made out of pixie dust, or ultra rareeeeeeeee banned from import.  Stuff is dime a dozen.

any sources that arent HK crack smokers?

You must be new to HK's, that is how all HK parts are.  Robertrtg actually has some of the lowest prices, check our hkparts.net if you want to see crazy prices on some items.

If you think HK parts prices are high now, just wait 'till next year.

Obviously not, hence your thread.

You may very well be the last HK owner to get the memo; HK parts are outrageous.

I have a buddy with some parts.  I'll give him  a call and see if he has any furniture he is willing to sell.

ETA
No luck, sorry

Tech forums guy, no need for attitude.

HK parts and accessories are expensive.  They've always been expensive.  They also get more expensive over time.  I remember years ago before the flood of G3 magazines hit when you'd pay 50 bucks a pop, and like it.  HK has also changed their replacement parts policy, where it has gotten harder to get parts.  Some of this is just HK being crazy and some of it is German export law.  Prices are a factor of a high Eurodollar, German labor being expensive anyway, and limited supply.

Robert RTG has been dealing in this stuff for a while.  His prices are pretty fair.  If you want to save money, hunt for used or the Pakistani contract parts.  The glut of surplus has dried up - remember the adage: buy low, sell high?  You're looking at a "higher" point right now.

You really want to feel awful about HK guns?  Go look at 9mm parts.  I've been considering a MP5 clone project for a while but the parts and assembly are outrageous for a 9mm gun.  The .308 parts are economical by comparison.

whoops sorry

yeah Robert RTG is ...ok.    Ive bought a few times from him before.

Was pretty dissapointed when the Pakistani wide black handguard with bipod wasnt interchangable with my actual German mfg wide handguard.  Tolerances were WAY off.

I did buy low and sell high......back in college I called up Classic Arms....  bought complete G3 front ends for $15 bucks.... barreled trunions for $10...complete bolt groups for $15...and complete lower trigger packs for $10.    Needless to say I purchased a few high end guns from just the sales of those parts.  Bought about $800-900 of G3 parts at THOSE prices and resold them for quite a profit, while still staying under the "market" value, so I could move them quick.

I buy from (in this order):

1.  Robert rtg

2.  apex

3.  hkparts

Number 3 is expensive and charges a credit card processing fee, which is nuts to charge anymore in my mind, but he has some stuff that nobody else seems to be able to get their hands on.

The HK game is not a cheap one, I spent 2 hours today in the new Clyde Armory which is the only HK dealer I know of in GA and damn my wallet was smoking and I didn't even buy anything.

Here is my Vector with slim handguard and old school metal buttstock.

When I shoot, I prefer this combo.  I also have wide handguard and a Knights RAS handguard.
