is the socom 16 capable of good accuracy out to 200 yards? if so how good? scoped or not scoped?

the socom is a relatively accurate rifle, but you need to get better sights for it than the factory irons if you want to acheive its full potential.  The front sight post is FAT and the rear sight peep is quite wide.  The idea behind that is faster target acquisition at shorter ranges, but at the trade off of longer range accuracy.  with good optics the socom can hang with any rifle in it's class
