does anyone make a scout mount for the 10/22??

its a mount that lets you you put optics farther forward for quicker target acquisition.
so the optic would be over the barrel instead of on the receiver.


does anybody know of one???

Maybe you could convince XS to come up with one.

The cantilever mount is intended to mount to the barrel, but keep the scope over the receiver. I suppose you could push it forward, or mount it backward. But if you are going to go through the trouble of making holes in the barrel, this might be a better route:

But, I think a rail that used the existing front two holes in the receiver, and the dovetail for the original rear sight. It would be extra kewl if it incorporated an adjustable sight at the rear of the unit. This would give you a BUIS and it would increase the sight radius.
