i have a benelli m1s90, with the forend light handguard from surefire. i guess it accidentally activated in the safe because its dead now.

cant figger out how to get the light out to replace the battery>

it seems to have a roll pin holding it in, but i cant even get that out. i thought i would see if anyone has one before io go screwing it up.

I have the 618FA on my 870. It should just be righty-tighty, lefty-loosey. I would not force it. You could have crossed threads, maybe. I would contact Surefire before damaging your light, just to make sure. Good luck.

ok, so the lamp assembly unscrews, and then the rest of the light should unscrew from the frame also?

mine does. You don't have to take the lamp assembly off to get the tube unscrewed.

A word of advice, buy the batteries from Surefire. Around here 2 of the 123's cost about 10 bucks. From Surefire they're about 12 fo $20 with shipping IIRC.
