What is the quietest pistol caliber to suppress?

Assuming subsonic ammunition: .22 lr, then 9mm.

I assumed the smallest projectile at the slowest velocity would win... correct?

How do .9mm and .45 compare supressed?

Velocity? DB?

9mm is alot easier to suppress. the larger bore diameter 45 allows alot more sound to follow the projo out without being slowed.

You said the quietest pistol caliber, not quietest pistol
I thought at one time the 22's and the 9mm's where the quitest until
I heard a integral 44 mag on a single shot/bolt action that had the semi 9mm's
sounding loud next to it.
Anything semi auto wil be louder than a single shot and you can
get many pistols and rifles in many pistol calibers.
This 357mag is quieter than any of my semi 9mm's

.
The 44mag is damn quiet
