There are a few iPhone cases available for direct threading onto your pvs-14. Search the web a little. They work much better than a box.

buy one of the eyepiece protective caps in the new nv section of the EE for a couple of bucks. glue or screw it to an extra battery cover or protective case. only problem is the nod will be held to the phone by the friction grip of the protective cap. not good for running through iraq . but works perfect for me as far as focus and price.
