Right before Y2K and AW Ban in California somebody tried to circumvent the ban by making a pistol grip replacement that resembled a giant black slug. It was ugly as sin, and the law was re-written to close that loop hole, and that was that. Even if it's still being made, or if you can find one (quite a few were sold), you wouldn't want to put it on your rifle.

Those were the "GunCompliantStocks" grips. The company apparently folded after only a few months, as their idea was negated before the law was even finalized.
There are two other options that are even worse. www.zmweapons.com makes a "thumb thing" that replaces the pistol grip, and www.gogogadgets.net makes a bar that replaces it. Both are officially not pistol grips under federal law, but would still be pistol grips under the Kaliban. -Troy |
