I just picked up my 870. I plan on getting into trap shooting and didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on a trap gun..also I will be getting a 20" barrel with rifle sights for deer hunting/HD..Now I dont have to bring my fathers old 1100 out in the woods all the time..

the 870 is just a 28" vent rib..and the 1100 was handed down by father after he passed away when I was 11 I believe it was made in the mid to late 60's..

I feel like every father had a 1100. Mine and at least 3 of my buddies dads all had one.
870 is a great gun too. Very customizable.
