taking a class that is requiring alot of ammo and alot of mags.

1st - good duty belt? not of the dress belt type, but a larger belt that will secure a 6004, dump ouch and mag holders

2nd - decent, simple, but not shitty dump pouch? Should be an easy answer..

safariland belt, i know soe of the 'tactical' companies make some decent belts..

and mag pouches are abundant..

Pat Rogers told me "BUY CHEAP, BUY TWICE" . And recommended the CSM pouch. I really like my CSM pouch, hold 8 mags with magpuls.  Mike McMillan will also customize gear to your specs.

I would strongly recommend a Wilderness Tactical Instructors belt. The two that would work for your class would be the heavy-duty polymer lined (the stiffest) or the 5 stitch reinforced. I currently use the 1 1/2" 5 stitch and it works great! These belts are by and far the best belts made. I have seen other belts similar to Wilderness Tactical (ie Blackhawk, etc...) but nothing compares. thewilderness.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/3/products_id/36?osCsid=b78bf3c4aeac068047ec72ac80f8737f

I like the Maxpedition Rolly Polly - smaller footprint when stowed and only requires two MOLLE channels so you can fit it on the front of a single modular mag pouch. The downside is it won't hold anywhere near as much gear as the CSM; but you can still get 4-5 AR mags with magpuls in it.

+1 for the Maxpedition, carried one for a year in Iraq with no complains. You can't go wrong there.

I use the Wilderness Instructor belt Combat Shooter Model, but with a Tactical Tailor duty belt over it and belt keepers.  I've used the Maxpedition Roly Poly for four courses and like it. I can understand though, why people like the CSM.
