i'm looking for a quality synthetic stock that i can transplant my barreled M1A receiver into from the walnut stock. i'd prefer it to have a swivel sling stud already attached so i can put my harris bipod on it and i'd also like it to have a matching colour/material handguard for the barrel.

also, who does good camo jobs where i can send the stock/handguard out to have it done?

is there a tutorial out there for DIY camo jobs so i can start practicing on my own?

thanks in advance.

FYI I saw a Karsten stock in the EE for $100. It was set up for a bipod in the pics. YMMV

looks nice, but he doesn't have the matching handguard.

also, i'd prefer a stock that does not have the selector switch cut-out.

Try Fred's M14 stocks. I just ordered a "excellent condition with very good butt-plate" for $55 to my door. As far as camo jobs, there are a few board members who do it, including Chameleon Weaponry in the Industry forum. Or, just Krylon it yourself. For $50, you can afford to screw it up or re-do it.

ETA: Larson is the other up-and-coming refinisher here on the boards.
