Anyone have any good home recipes that you have tried?

Pics of results are preferred.  I need to re-park my 1911.

Thanks

I thought about going the homebrew route but just bought LCW maganese solution. It wasn't too expensive by the gallon. YMMY

+1 on the Lauer black manganese. Inexpensive and looks great.

You could also check with Brownell's- their zinc phosphate parkerizing is quick and easy to use plus you can reuse the solution, which in my experience gets stronger up to a point the more you use it. By the time you buy the materials to make your own its easier to buy a prepared solution.

Allehegeny Arsenal has a decent setup, complete with all chemicals.
