I bought a collapsible stock for my ptr. I took out the bolt/carrier. I put it back in and it seemed the bolt is not going all the way in. Almost but not 100%. I took out the bolt and carrier and now it won't go back in. It seems like the rollers are too wide to go in the reciever. I am guessing the rollers release but I don't know how. All help apreciated. Turn the bolt carrier around, slide it into the receiver and give the nose of the carrier a good whack with your hand or a rubber mallet.  Or you can use a very thin blade screwdriver, insert the blade in between the carrier and bolthead and twist until the bolt unlocks and the roller move inward.

yes, your locking piece is locked onto your bolthead. Pull it back so the rollers go inside the head.

Beating your rifle back together is not the way !
Hammering can damage your receiver ,bolt ,or
locking rollers.

1.Remove bolt carrier.
2.Push release switch on bolt carrier ,and turn bolt back
to where it can be slid out.
3.Pull bolt out until rollers go back into it.
4.Push button again and rotate bolt back into place,making sure
the rollers don't get pushed out of the bolt.
Once it's locked,tug on the bolt in the opposite direction of
the carrier just to make sure it's out far enough.
5.Slide carrier with bolt back into receiver.

After you've figured it out the first time,you'll probably do it
right from there on.

This is a common mistake for those new to roller delayed HKs.

The manual that comes with your rifle should show you how to reassemble the bolt correctly.We all have had this problem.You will catch on after a few tries...
