I have a 4 mark 1 enfield that I would like to know the manufacture.On the receiver it has a letter B then the date 1942 and a 5 digit seriel number I thought the manufacture would be around there but its not.Does the letter B represent the manufacture????

None of the No. 4 rifles are manufacturer marked other than the No. 4 trials rifles and the Long Branch rifles. They are marked with letter codes that identify the maker.
