My sportsmans warehouse said they would be in on monday for $649. Too bad I'm blowing all my money tomorrow or I'd consider one.

Our big, local, fun store had them out last weekend for $599. (a weekend special while a couple of Ruger reps were in the store too for “Ruger Days”). It looks like it will be a good 1911 for a $600-650 gun.

Has this model been confirmed?  Or just hopes and speculation.
Because if so, I may have to wait as well...

I got mine 3 weeks ago from the Tinker AFB BX for $649.

Shoots great, well built.  Only complaint (minor) is that instead of coming in Ruger Tupperware container the pistol came in a soft side case that was in a cardboard box.

Comes with one 7 round and one 8 round magazine.

Pics to be uploaded tonight.

Haven't been able to get my hands on one since the NRA Convention, but I'm on a few list's at the local shops. Definitely a nice 1911 for the money. The Reps at the convention said several different versions are in the works... he wouldn't elaborate though.

Ok, that was the 16th and today is the 21st........even the Air Force can upload a pix sooner than that.  You have missed your time hack.

Pics as promised...if a tad bit late!

LH side.  Sights are Novaks.  Grip safety, mainspring housing, mainspring housing pin, mag release button, slide release, sights, grip screws, & manual safety are parkerized.  Trigger is parked with polished sides.  Wood grips with Ruger logo on them.

RH side.

Can take pics of anything that anyone wants to see.

These are some pics I took of the one we got in our shop (since I work in the same Building as the Ruger HQ in Southport)

It's a nice 1911.  No Ruger safety crap on it and it shoots great.  Awesome fit and finish but you have to like the two tone.

So it is a "Series 70" or "Series 80" style 1911?

My father bought one last month and so far it has 500 rounds through it. During the first 100 rounds or so it had problems locking back on an empty mag but that went away. It's reliable and accurate.
