What kind of bore cleaners will neutralize corrosive primer use in my mosin nagants and German mauser? I've heard that windex(ammonia?) will work. I don't like the hot, soapy water method because of wood movement and potentially getting between barrel and metal then rusting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I mix ammonia and water in squirt bottle, and squirt it down the barrel, then clean as normal.  I heard Sweets will work, but haven't tried it.

Mild dish soap warm water in a squirt bottle....corrisive is mostly "SALT" so this works wonders.

There is a current thread in maint. and cleaning forum on this subject.
Personally, I use windex followed by normal cleaning with Ed's Red, but feel free to try them all and see which method you like best. Most of them will work.
My Polish M-44 seems to have a chrome barrel, the Russian doesn't. They both have stainless bolts and bolt bodies. I'd say the chamber area needs the most attention (and is also the hardest to access)FWIW..

Soap and water is all you need.
