There are several different custom aftermarket uppers for these.  That might make the difference.  Ive seen ones that have HK parts, sights, bolts, etc.  Some have unique breaks and handgards.  This might make the price difference.  I myself am in the market for the same thing.  I am considering the Vector Uzi pistol as an aternate.

Most of the semi autos fire from a closed bolt, and the full autos fire from an open bolt.

Side note;
An open bolt is when the bolt assembly has a an extruding fixed firing pin. After you fire a shot, the bolt locks back to the rear similar to a last shot hold open. There is no hammer, and the trigger is essentially a bolt a release. When you pull the trigger, the bolt releases, chambers, and fires the cartridge in one sweep with the fixed firing pin striking the primer when the round is completely chambered. (Open bolt firearms are now illegal to manufacture new in NFA legal firearms due to the ease of full auto conversion.)

I picked it up yesterday. got to shoot it today till we got rained out. very controlable. it shoots about 650 (or slower) rpm. another guy at the range had a stock m11 /9 with a heavy bolt. prbly twice as fast as mine and had pretty bad muzzle climb.

I've got 31 mags for it total . now I need some more ammo. I ran monarch steel cased and WWB in it . ran flawless, no jams , missfires , nothing.

I haven't had the chance to shoot this since adding the Lage upper, but it's supposed to be an entirely different gun.  Better sights, rail for optics & side cocker.  Heavier front end & ROF of ~600 rpm to help keep the thing on target.
