anything special to do?  is there a certain type of barrel/gasblock/tube/upperrcvr that is recommended for full auto operation?

Any in-spec upper will do but you will need a SP1 carrier or a carrier machined to SP1 profile.  Also you will want a KNS protector to protect your investment and shave the upper's rear pin lug so the RLL/protector doesn't bind under the lug.

Does anyone sell SP1 style carriers anymore?  Or, do you have to have them customized to SP1 specs?

You can occasionally find them for sale but they're pretty hard to find.  Your best bet is to have a M16 BC cut back to SP1 specs.

www.m60joe.com i had him mill a few carries for my RLL. I think he also sells the KNS protectors as well as the select fire kits.

I would also have your lower opened up for clearance unless you are going to install in a Colt SP-1.



M60joe can also do that work.
