I got my upgrade email from Silencerco today. I will call them in the morning and make payment
and then ship the can out on Friday. One of my Sparrows will be upgraded now and maybe the
other in the future.......

as long as I have waited for this email they will probably take months to complete the upgrade

I certainly hope not. I am hoping that they made us wait for months because they
wanted things to go smoothly and in a timely fashion once they started. Sounds
like a good idea in theory......

Mine arrived in UT yesterday AM.

Today i got an email saying it was upgraded and shipping back to me today

1 day turn around? Guess we'll see

Blame us all you want. We have been signed up for the upgrade since OCTOBER.

IT'S OUT TURN.

Mine is on the way back to me today as well. I am hoping for a quick return.
Utah is right next door to me here in Nevada. I would love to do some side
by side testing of the original 22-Sparrow and the upgrade SS-Sparrow on
Thursday.

Ill be doing that if I dont get my upgrade email soon. SS sparrow will be here soon......maybe b4 the upgrade of my current sparrow takes place.

I waited all Thursday for the UPS man to arrive, just HOPING that my upgraded Sparrow
would arrive. I knew it would need a signature and I was working Friday. About
5pm I gave up as UPS is normally in my driveway by about 2-3pm if they are coming.
About 6:30 tonight the "Big Brown Truck-O-Love" came pulling in with a delivery.

I was very impressed when I put it on the scale. My original 22 Sparrow which has
just a few rounds through it (maybe 400~500) weighs in at 4.80 ounces and my
freshly upgraded SS Sparrow weighs just 5.15 ounces. I fully expected the upgrade
to weigh in near 6, so I am pleasantly surprised.

When I did a side by side sound comparison, the SS version has a bit louder first round
pop, but after that it is slightly quieter than the original. I have no official sound testing
equipment, but both my son and I agreed on the above statement.

I can veryify this too. I shot my SS at the fun shop when it first came in. First round pop was a little bit more than my original sparrow., to my ears. But nothing to even raise an eye over.

Am I missing anything?

Yes. You can get much more aggressive cleaning SS than aluminum. And the dip will not mess with a things on SS. Oh, and its actually 275 + return shipping. So figure your going to ring the credit card out for $285.
