I was at a gunshow this weekend and I saw a 1913 production Colt 1911 that had avery shiney almost purple finish.  Does anyone know what was wrong with this pistol?  It was priced at $650.  A good deal?  There were only minor scratches on the slide, no pitting or rust.

It's a reblue..  The last "nice" 1913 vintage 1911 I saw sold for well over 1,000 U.S. It's finish was a matted cobalt blue.. I've seen the purpleish color come out of more than a few home bluing tanks..
