I have a synthetic M-14 stock I wanted to paint the same new "Coyote Brown" recently adopted by the USMC...I asked around on this board but got no good matches so I went looking around the paint stores...

The closest match I have been able to find is Nutmeg #7942 by Rust-Oleum in their American Accents line...it is a spay-can enamel, and a satin finish, but thats okay, because a flat coaing of polyurethane will tone it down, and glosses and semi-glosses cover better than flat paints...

The color seems to be very close, from what I can tell...it may be a tad darker and less green than what I've seen on the internet, but so far there does not to seem to be a universal "Coyote Brown" color, at least not from the nylon webgear manufactrers!
