is it ok to use saboted slugs in a smoothbore shotty
or is it better to use rifled slugs in a smoothbore
Im not that knowledgeable on shotgun ammo just yet
all i know is Ive used remington 00 buck police ammo

Rifled slugs for smooth bores, sabot slugs for rifled bores (or smooth bores with rifled chokes).

A sabot slug does not stabilize itself like a rifled slug does, so it requires a rifled barrel or choke to have any hope of accuracy.

ok so i want to get into some slugs for my smoothbore
what reccomendations does anyone have
I guess i have to swap out the sabot slugs for other ones
any help is appreciated

If there's a Walmart near you they sometimes have Winch. HP 15 pk for 6 bucks . It is a silver Promotiom pack just for walmart I think . I love them .

I agree on the Brenneke slugs.  I like the 1 1/4 ounce Heavy Field Short Magnum 12 / 2¾” .
