I am looking  at the Enterprise summer sale .
The Stg58 at $599 sounds great .

What is the difference between a type 01 receiver and a type 03 as on the $599 rifle ??

Does Enterprise make their own receivers or are they Imbel or CAI or FN or what ???

Thanks .

A type 1 receiver is the original FN design. It has lightning cuts along the bottom edge of the receiver and in the side of the mag well. A type 3 receiver was introduced in the 70's by FN with no lightning cuts. This was to cut manufacturing steps, neither is stronger then the other it's pure asthetics. Entreprise makes their own receivers better then Century or Hesse not as good as Imbel or DSA. Go to www.dsarms.com to see clear pictures of type 1, 2 and 3 receivers.

There are a lot of guys who have had serious issues with Enterprise rifles and receivers.

I ordered one of there L1A1 Inch receivers and it was absolute crap.

Here's the link for DSA's receivers and an explanation as to the differences:
