Has anyone tried it?  If so what are your thoughts?

Noone...and I mean noone...makes a replacement threaded barrel for the USP Compact in 9mm.  The spousal unit really likes the Compact instead of the fullsize USP(you can get a barrel for the fullsize 9), so the back-up plan is the .40 and then I'd maybe use one of my TWO .45 cans on it.

Yes I am cheap. Yes I am wanting to avoid buying a .40 can just for occasional fun with this pistol. Yes I know I will in the ARFcom tradition just buy myself a USP 9, can, et al...

In the meantime...anyone done it?
