(it could be 129gr., I don't remember) Just ordered a box for the wife's .38- didn't go +P, cuz she's a lightweight.  what do you guys think of this load?  will it get the job done? (assuming that she does her part, of course)

It will do just fine.  Shot placement is far more important.

You may also consider Federal 125gr Nyclad (they have +P and non +P versions).  The non +P is designed for .38SPL pistols that are not designed for +P, or for snubby revolvers where there is not enough barrel length to develop max velocity anyway.
