Believe that would be the Federal Gold Medal 308, w/ the 168 grn. Sierra Matchking bullet.

Mike

BTW, this should be in the Ammunition forum.

Most folks will tell you FederalMatch,#GM308M.
There are some alternatves.
LC Match M118
LC Match M852
The sleeper is the UltraMax 308 with the 168 Sierra BT in a USGI case.

Fore real LONG distance shooting (out past around 700 yards) consider either the Black Hills or Federal ammo with 175 grain Sierra Match King bullet. The longer bullet stays supersonic out past 1000 yards yielding better accuracy at true long range. Not much more expensive.

I routinely get 1/2" groups with this out of my PSS at 100 yds.

[edited to say that I use the 168gr, not the 175.]

Fed is aweful good alright. However something that is purt near as dandy and a good bit cheaper ya might check out Black Hills.

I'll second the Black Hills ammo. For 600 yards and under the 168 gr stuff works great. But from 600 out to 1000 the 175 gr load works a whole lot better. I shoot this stuff in our Tactical rifle matches which go from 200 to 1000 yards. At 100 yards from a decent rifle either will easily give sub MOA groups. It's also cheaper than Federal, and in my rifle gave better accuracy.

Tommy at Georgia Precision has pretty good prices on it too.

I second Pthfndr. Black-Hills all the way. I only use 175's in my PSS. Shoots 1/2" groups all day long. I don't even use 168's anymore. If you do a Class "F" type match use 175's that way you'll be cool at all ranges. Not necessarily so with the 168's. Black-Hills 175's all the way and NO MOLY!!! It's messes with your CBS. Georgia-precision has the best prices too...
Later,
Rich
