I have a customer interested in 6 .300 whisper cans for custom bolt guns, and I was wondering what suppressors are you guys using on your .300 whispers, how they sound, how you like them, and why.
I can source him a product, or make him a small production run(what he wanted), but I was trying to figure out which approach was best.
I had looked at SSK's cans, but then I read somewhere they are almost 3lbs, and saw pictures realizing they need the barrel turned to a goofy contour, and that sort of changed my mind.
My design would be a large aluminum reflex can with .075 wall construction T6 throughout, and hardcoat anodized.
Do you think it should be thicker if I go that route? I'm sure .100 thick would work fine, but I'm not sure if it's neccessary.
I'm pretty sure the guns will be blued or parkarized so I think something black would be ideal, as opposed to stainless or aluminum in the white.
