Is there a bbl available for the 10/22 for this? I've seen it in SGN but havent heard much other stuff about it. Just basically interested in it for something different. Also want something that will detonate tannerite... Just another neat toy that I really dont need for my 10/22 that my buddies dont have.

Volquartsen has some advertised on their webpage, prices are from $225-$250. I would think that other barrel manufacturers are putting out .17hm2 barrels also. Rimfirecentral.com would be a good place to find out all the specifics on the conversion.

I know it's goofy but I bought a box of ammo in .17M2 and loaded up a butler creek 25 with it and damn, it just looks right. Hopefully an inexpensive barrel will be made available.

I have read that there are some issues with the Mach 2 and standard Ruger receivers.

Pac Lite has a recommendation on their website stating that they have concerns.

I am going to hold out for now, and just use the 10/22 for .22 LR.

FWIW

Okay, dont load a 25 round mag with it.... they tip downward and are an MF to unload. Fortunately no damage done to mag or ammo. I'm thinking the rotary 10 shot might be better for this. Might make a nice pistol round too.... hmm....

Since you mention pistol, Kimber is making a 1911 target in .17HM2, I fondled one over the weekend, it felt so right, yet so wrong, 1911's should only be 45's. But I thought I would pass the info.
