Boys, this is where the rubber meets the road. If you're handy with a milling machine or (have all winter with a dremel) you could have a nice M1A receiver. Manufactured By TRW. Can be used as a dummy gun. Cannot fire a round in its current state (or accept the breach bolt)."

Crappy welding and he didn't fill the takedown notch which is a big problem. I have seen some nice rewelds and that one aint for shit.

Gee
Do some great milling and finishing and you've got a real machine gun. It is an M14 receiver. If it is truly aigned and in spec and can be machined to original state it's a hell of a deal. You could get a parts kit and have a real M14 for about $2,000 |

Well they could have done far better on the welding. That is horrid looking job. I doubt that thing will ever be more than a conversational piece. I'd have a tough time spending the funds on just the shipping for it. If I were even remotely considering to attempt this sort of thing I'd rather receive the two pieces before any welding took place by someone so crudely slobbered it together.
