Anyone have Y-B shotgun? I'm considering getting one.  What do you guys think about Yost-Bonitz Custom 870's?

What do they do to improve performance, I don't get it.

Definately not worth the money.  $1500 for an 870, jesus even with gold upto almost $600 an ounce I think you could get a gold plated one for cheaper.

Even if you bought probably the 2 most expensive parts you can buy for an 870, Cav Arms SST-870 or Mesa Tacticals system, and a Surefire forend, you still wouldn't spend that much money, and you would have a really "combat-effective" shotgun.

ASU1911 is selling one. IM him if you want details. He needs some cash. He hasn't taken delivery of the weapon.

Yes, they are expensive, but it is loaded with features. I haven't fired one, but I got to handle it, and I wanted it after that. The difference between the YB 870 and the Remington factory unit is incredible.

I'm off to do some research on them.  From what I can see in that picture, I'd say, if you have the money and want one - BUY IT!

What features does it have?  Have they worked over the action and trigger?

What will it do that a $500 870 Police won't?

Package includes:

Smooth action
Trigger job
Stake shell stops
Big Head safety
Shorten stock

install sling swivel in pistol grip

Trust me, it beats the shit out of an 870 that bubba pimped from a Tapco catalog.

The stuff in red is already available on an 870 Police.  Most of them are parked instead of blued and I'm not sure who makes the rear sight Remington uses.

Are they building these on Express 870's?

My 870 only cost me $150.00.  It was an ex-police gun in poor condition.  It functioned prefect and shot straight.  Mine did everything that 870 can do.

I agree w/ ikor on all points. I wouldn't buy one unless I had a lot of cash to burn. I love YB work but it's just too much when a $300 win 1300 or a rem 870 will do the job.

They build them off of Expresses and Police models.
