Well not "here" but Fed Ex attempted delivery on my High number Springfield M1903 from the CMP. I'm going to try to pick it up this afternoon so I can get it cleaned up and ready for bulletfest.

I sent my order in early March. I wasn't in the 03 lottery. I'll report later on how it looks. I am stoked! I've always wanted an 03. I called Fed Ex and I can pick it up after 5pm.

I missed out on the '03 Springfields... I don't have my match results from the JCG match I shot in, so that qualification is still hanging. Next year, or after I pay off my CCs, I want to order a rack grade or two to rebarrel (one in .308 for highpower/NM and one in .30 for general purpose). Also, I found out you need to meet the requirements even if you're just ordering parts... dangit! I was going to order a bbl from them, but had to go with FA.

Sukebe, I hope your '03 is a beauty! We want PICS!!!

Over all not too bad. Caked in cosmoline. Ser# 1487462 Barrel is also SA 4-35 looks original to the reciever. I'll put it in the parts cleaner tomorrow and get the grease off of the steel. The wood is going to be a pain in the ass to get clean. It's a finger groove stock with no cartouches that I can see. Otherwise it's in great shape for it's age and so far I'm pleased.

Atleast I'm not alone! Ordered about the same time as Sukebe, a Rem 1903a3 with "S" stock. Still no CC hits, or delivery attempts.

A while ago, they posted that they are "sold out" of the Mossberg m44 22 target rifles. My order has been in for about 8 weeks. A phone call to odcmp put to rest my worst fears: It IS on the way, but in a few weeks....

Ok, so it isn't an '03, but it is still a nice gun.

Maybe if we buy up all the Garands and '03s, the government will start a clearing house for the M-14s!!!!!
