No. H&K has said it has no plans to offer the XM8 to the civilian sector, just as it does not offer a semi-auto G-36, and has discontinued the SL8-1 in North America and the SL8-4 in Europe. It's handguns only for us it would seem. |

By the time it hits curio and relic status the clones will have done to HK what all the AR manufacturers did to Colt...It will still be nice to have an HK for the name, but functionally it won't matter. Fock HK
