I have a 590A1 with front bead.  I know you can buy the factory ghost rings and have them installed.

For those who have the 590 with factory ghost rings, do you like them?

Or is there a better choice for a ghost ring?

I have a 500 with ghost rings - and find them helpful, but not necessary.  I bought my 500 used, and it seemed they were installed after market by the previous owner.  Sight acquisition, for me is not much better than with the traditional bead front sight.hotgun.gif

i like them a lot, have a surefire forend and with the light on in low light, you can see the outline and helps me alot more than bead sight

Ghost rings are the real deal, baby.
After you install them, go buy some slugs, and bench that mofrack at 50 meters.
After that, you will never go back.
There is a HUGE misconception about rear aperture size, in that it is assumed that the capability to accurately align the sights suffers.
Your brain will center that front sight like a champ.
After the slug incident, and you adjust the sights, your confidence to take out a dumptruck will skyrocket.
Slugs are an AWESOME additional capability for any shotgunner.

Absolutely!  I will not have an offensive/defensive shotgun without them.  (As compared to a hunting shotgun)

"Or is there a better choice for a ghost ring?"
I don't understand the question.

SWAG - for its intended purpose - an offensive/defensive weapon - the GRS is the best option of all the sights.

YMMV and other nonsense...

EDIT:  I suggest you borrow one and see for yourself.

I put a set of MMC ghost rings on my 590 and they are great!  Very straightforward installation.

I mean other than factoy ghost rings.

Do they make aftermarket ghost rings?

Yep.  Wilson Combat I know for sure.

I'm sure there's more - go to the Brownell's website and search.

Here ya go.

Type 'ghost ring sights' in the Search function.  You'll get 19 hits.  (I can't link directly to the search results)
