I have prototyped and am thinking of producing a new product to help remove AR15/M16 handguards easily.
Designed to depress the Delta Ring with one hand easily, and release both upper and lower or right and left(A1) handguards simultaneously so the handguards can then be removed with the other hand. Kind of like having that third hand you need on a tight set.
It is plastic coated so you will not mar your gun or delta ring.
I like it because it eliminate the use of screwdrivers, knives, punches ect that can slip and scratch stuff on the gun and you do not lose a fingernail trying to pry them off.
Do you guys think there is a market for such a tool? or would it just be of interest of armorers?
We figure a retail of around $17.95 or so but I do not have all the prices in for packaging, inst. manual, ect in yet.
As to color of plastic coat I am thinking of safety yellow or orange to allow it to be found on the bench or in the shop or do you guys think good old black is the way to go.
