I just bought a Winchester 1200 Stainless for 225.00 in brand new condition. It was in such good shape and the price was right, so I couldn't resist. Its completely stock, but I plan to add a Side Saddle and Speedfeed III magazine stock soon. The action/balance is incredible for a pump gun, especially one in this "category". They seem to be somewhat rare, as I can't find any information about them. Is the whole gun made out of stainless steel? How does this compare to a 1300 Defender in terms of reliability/durability? It can't be that bad as the military used 1200's extensively....What are the major differences between the 1200 and 1300? Is this a suitible HD or defensive weapon? I am an 870 guy, but I am really impressed with this gun and I like it alot, not to mention how good it looks. I could take or leave the rifle sights, but atleast they fold down. Is there a resident 1200 expert that can offer some insight?
